It is possible to grow indoor tomatoes. The tomatoes that a person grows is always better than what he can buy in supermarkets. Let us now look at the facts that every person that is considering indoor tomato growing has to know.

Every plant has to receive fluorescent lighting for a minimum of 18 hours every single day. The perfect growth temperature is 70 degrees during the day and around 60 degrees at night. When a plant reaches a minimum of 12 inches it has to be transplanted to a container of one gallon. After around 2 months you should see the fruits ready for picking.
Flowering is definitely the one part that is the most difficult when growing indoor tomatoes. In order to do it properly there is a need to know force flowering. You have to be careful as one plant can flower after 60 days while another might need 80 days. One 3 gallon container has to be used for every single plant if you begin flowering. What needs to be always remembered is that you can always ask for help whenever problems appear. Growing tomatoes and flowering them indoors is possible but just a little more difficult than outdoors.
